The owners of this mid-century waterfront home in West Seattle were looking to open the main living space, connect the house to the yard and design an updated kitchen that could take in the site's great vierws.

The flow of the house was reoriented by removing a wall between the kitchen and living room, opening up space for more seamless modern living. The kitchen includes quartzone countertops and a blackened steel backsplash, as well as a centerpiece island for cooking and socializing while taking in the expansive views of the waterfront. Cosmetic contemporary upgrades restored the charm of the home; the use of stone, wood, and glass give this northwest home a natural feel.
